Meet Lauren Stein Grossbach, LMFT
Lauren is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and owner of Mindful Connections Counseling. Mindful Connections was created to help couples, families, and individuals in Middlesex, Union, Somerset, and Monmouth county.
With a passion for helping others improve the relationships in their lives, Lauren is pleased to provide counseling in a safe, private practice setting. Lauren welcomes clients of any age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, and sexual orientation. Using systemic approaches, therapy with Lauren focuses on relationship boundaries, communication styles, individual strengths, and more.

Lauren graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. In 2013, Lauren completed her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University. Throughout her professional career, Lauren has had the pleasure of attending trainings and workshops on the following topics:

In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling to new destinations, spending time at the Jersey Shore, and relaxing at home with her husband and two cats.
Meet Melody Smith, BA
Melody is the Administrative Intern at Mindful Connections Counseling. She provides coordination and support of administrative, clerical, and operational tasks related to the successful management of Mindful Connections. Melody has a passion for helping others with an emphasis on mind, body, and soul health. As a certified yoga instructor, she specializes in working with trauma and addictions.
Melody graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in mental health and is currently enrolled in a Master’s program at Liberty University for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In her spare time, Melody enjoys being outside in nature, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
