Are you someone who struggles with low moods or persistent, worrisome thoughts?
Have you ever felt that you had to shoulder that burden by yourself, or carry all of that pain inside?
Many of us carry painful past experiences, causing us to struggle with tireless worrying, low self-esteem, or bottling our heavy emotions inside. Maybe you’re someone who is also dealing with the ongoing strain of chronic illness, gender-related struggles, or race-related stress.
As your therapist, I will work with you to create a safe space to process your pain and heavy feelings through words and art. When words seem inadequate or out of reach, artistic expression can help. You do not need to be an artist to tap into the healing power of art. My love for creativity and artistic expression fuels my commitment to providing a supportive and empathetic therapeutic experience.
I’m a New Jersey Art Therapist
I’m Jayln (she/her, they/them), and I’m a 26-year-old Black, queer individual . I am passionate about working with children, tweens, teens, and adults who want to prioritize their wellbeing and work through the emotional pain they may be experiencing. If you’re open-minded, motivated for change, and interested in expressing your inner experiences through art making or conversation, you’ve come to the right place.
As a therapist, my approach cultivates authenticity and encourages development of self-confidence. I like to personalize sessions based on your needs, accessibility and comfort. I place a lot of intention into the materials and modalities I use and recommend. I often take on a goal-oriented approach, and collaboratively work with my clients in order to help them achieve their goals in treatment.

I work with individuals and families across diverse relationship structures, and I’m especially affirming of LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse clients. I welcome children, teens, and adults ages 6 and up to explore whether therapy with me feels like a good fit.
Let’s Start Where You Are
Whatever brings you to therapy—whether it’s past trauma, anxiety, identity exploration, or feeling overwhelmed—you don’t have to face it alone. Reaching out is a powerful first step, and I’m here to meet you with compassion and curiosity, not judgment.
As a therapist, I offer a calm, affirming space where you can feel seen, supported, and safe to explore what’s weighing on you. I work with kids, teens, and adults, especially those navigating trauma, race-related stress, and identity development. Whether we’re using words, art, or both, I’ll tailor our sessions to your needs and pace. Together, we’ll focus on helping you feel more grounded, build confidence, and move toward the life and relationships you deserve.
Outside of therapy, I spend most of my time oil painting, reading, watching movies with my partner, and occasionally playing video games. My go-to self-care activities include journaling and weightlifting at the gym.
Reach out when you’re ready. I’ll meet you there.
