I’m Reema and I help clients find confidence and calmness. I have a passion for helping others through challenging stressors and crises of self-confidence. You want to feel better about yourself, but you don’t know where to start. If this sounds like you, I’m here to help.
Life’s stressors can bring you down, causing you to question yourself and your identity. The effects of anxiety, overwhelm, and low self-esteem impact your everyday life. You may notice that you’re not functioning like you used to. The relationship you have with yourself has changed. You notice that your relationships with others have changed, too.
Especially during times of transition, we can feel lost and uncertain of ourselves. These feelings can be exacerbated by:
- Job changes
- Health issues
- Unstable relationships
- Increased responsibilities
- Cultural issues, such as racism
If you feel like an outsider who isn’t sure of yourself, you’re not alone. Being an immigrant myself, I have a deep understanding of multicultural issues and life transitions. I can empathize with and understand your unique challenges with major life changes, cultural issues/racism, and family discord.
I aim to create a safe environment for clients to talk about their experiences and express their needs. We will work together collaboratively to improve the relationship with yourself and others. I want to empower you to take charge of your life and to be the best version of yourself. Are you ready to try something new? Do you want an opportunity to feel heard, understood, and cared for?
Working with me means:
- Finding healthier ways to care for yourself and others
- Understanding your communication patterns
- Working toward confidence and calm
- Honoring your unique story
- Recognizing your strengths
I graduated from Kean University with a BA in Psychology. From there, completed my Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kean University. My additional experience has been as an at-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapist, which provided me with opportunities in working with families and children.
I use therapeutic methods that are uniquely tailored to each individual. The most important aspect of therapy is to create a genuine, warm, trusting, and safe environment for clients to freely express themselves without fear or judgment.
I use my free time to practice self-care by taking walks, exploring nature, and dancing. One of my favorite quotes is “Great things are done by a series of small things brought together” -Van Gogh
